Greasy Chicken

What's up humans? I have decided to start a blog so you all can get an insight to how amazingly awesomely fun my life is! First I'll tell you a bit about myself. My name is Chris Gun and I live in Adelaide. I only told you I'd be telling you a bit about myself so that's all you get. I'm sure if I keep up with this blog thingy, and you people follow it, you will learn plenty about me.

I am currently car-less and job-less. Therefore I have to ride my bike everywhere, which is okay because the weather has been nice and Adelaide is very easy to get around because it is fairly small. I spent today trying to find a job. By this I mean riding down to a cafe on Unley Rd called 'Serves You Right' and asking if they had read my resume yet and wanted to hire me. Unfortunately the position had been filled by someone who had "more experience than me". Fair enough I guess. I had my $3.20 latte and headed on down the road to my Grandma's house.

I had left my Ray-Bans at my Grandma's house a few days before, and it seemed the world was just way too glary for my liking so I had to get off my ass and pick them up. Now, when I usually visit my Grandmother's house I am usually offered a glass of lemonade and an Anzac biscuit. To my disappointment, the lemonade that was offered to me was extremely flat and there were no Anzac biscuits. Thus Grandma and I came to the conclusion that my visits to her house were becoming so much of a rarity that she had given up on buying new lemonade or Anzac biscuits. The lesson here is, if you want bubbly lemonade and yummy biccies, visit your Grandma more regularly. We spent a good hour talking about what I am going to do with my life, how I'm going to get a job, and strangely enough, Julian Assange. It was most pleasant.

My next stop on my very eventful day of errands, was at the Optus shop. I spent a good 15 minutes riding up and down Unley Rd looking for number 241 (which was where the Optus shop usually is) only to realise that they were no longer there, and that it had been replaced by a funky little Chinese lunch place. I went inside to ask where the Optus shop was. They told me "it used to be here, but wasn't any more". I already knew this information but responded as if it was very helpful to me. I left the shop and expressed some curse words, and continued on my travels.

I finally made it home and made a sandwich with Dakota. Two poached eggs, avocado, tomato, lettuce, chicken and cheddar cheese. Yummo! We sat outside drinking our cordials and eating our delicious healthy sandwiches. I then walked her home and made my way down to Cheno's house.

Cheno had asked me to come over to his house to help him fix up his car. This was a very foolish idea as I know very little, in fact nothing about cars let alone how to fix them (which is the main reason as to why I don't own one now). Luckily for me, by the time I arrived he had already sorted it out. We then decided to go and grab some dinner. We headed on down to Unley Rd again, to grab a Yiros, only to find that the Savvas Yiros was just closed. We then headed back down to Mitcham to grab some KFC. I could not believe how slow the service was. There was one car in front of us and it seriously took 10 minutes to get our food. I shouldn't really complain though because Cheno did pay for me. Much appreciated.

I scoffed the greasy chicken down and asked Cheno to drop my back at Dakota's house. I left the bike at Cheno's place because after all that chicken there was no way I would be able to ride back up the hill.

I spent the next hour at Dakota's house helping her write an email to some doctor who performed an autopsy on the Romanov's. I had to walk back to my house by myself because once again I had lost another form of transport (the bike).

That concludes my day. I am amazed at how much I have just written. Maybe a little too long. Let me know what you think of my first entry. Please leave a comment.

Thank you for reading :)
Peace,

Gunny.

  3. Hey Chris, liked it...kept me entertained for quite some time during a boring morning at work.

By the way, there will always be bubbly Fanta and an assortment of cream-filled biscuits at Granny and Grandpas, you'll never be disappointed after a visit there ; )

  4. :) Awesome! Thanks Alisha! Yes well I guess I have to develop a more balanced "visiting routine" between grandparents, so I can keep up with my weekly fizzy drink intake :P

Keep an eye out on the blogs, I'll try to post them every night, and I'll try to keep them entertaining.

    Much Love cousin. xx
